The 2021 Perusini Ribolla Gialla is a brilliant pale lemon yellow wine known for its complex and elegant profile. It offers a savory aroma of steely minerality, complemented by floral notes of white blossom and pear. On the palate, it presents fresh and cleansing flavors with a long finish of saline mineral notes. This historic wine, recognized since 1300, is one of the best from Friuli, particularly when produced in Rosazzo. The Ribolla Gialla is the result of extensive clonal selection, enhancing its unique characteristics. Perusini wines are crafted exclusively from grapes grown in their own terraced vineyards on loam rock, known as Ponca in Friuli. The estate, recognized by Luigi Veronelli in “I vignaioli storici,” is currently managed by Teresa, the daughter of Giampaolo, alongside her husband Giacomo de Pace and their three sons, continuing a tradition of in-depth research into native vines over three generations.
