Grappa di Barbera Riserva Marco Bonfante
The Bonfante family has been producing wines in Nizza Monferrato, Piedmont, for eight generations, particularly focusing on Barbera d'Asti. The Marco Bonfante winery was founded in 2000 by siblings Micaela and Marco Bonfante after their father’s passing. Marco, an Oenological School of Alba graduate, manages production with an oenologist and agronomist, while Micaela handles administration and shipping. Their winemaking philosophy emphasizes elegance, balance, and complexity in red wines, using key grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, Albarossa, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Brachetto. The winery carefully selects grapes to achieve harmony in structure, acidity, and alcohol, ensuring that wood aging enhances the wine without overpowering it.
