2019 Opus One, Napa Valley USA 0.75lt
Opus One 2019 is a premium wine created by Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi, dedicated to exceptional quality. This vintage features intense aromas of black plum, blueberry, black currant, and dried rose petals, with mineral undertones. Its creamy texture is complemented by fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, and flavors of dark fruit, savory herbs, espresso, and cocoa, finishing with a hint of dark chocolate bitterness. The 2019 growing season began with abundant spring rains, leading to a later bloom and veraison. Warmer late-summer temperatures accelerated fruit maturity, and harvest commenced on September 10th, lasting four weeks. This wine received high accolades, including 97 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and 98 points from both The Wine Independent and Jane Anson of Inside Bordeaux.
