The fruit is majestic: ripe, fleshy and profound. Beyond the richness and a certain voluptuousness is a strong impression of consistency that prevails. The wine’s power is remarkably restrained. The various sensations – silky, salty, sappy, bitter and briny – converge and persist.

The 2008 Dom Perignon is a huge, powerful Champagne and also clearly one of the wines of the vintage. This is one of the most reticent bottles I have tasted. So much so that I am thinking about holding off opening any more bottles! The 2008 has always offered a striking interplay of fruit and structure. Today, the richness of the fruit is especially evident. Readers who own the 2008 should be thrilled, but patience is a must. Antonio Galloni
This prestigious cuvée is renowned for its precise balance, remarkable depth, and complexity. Crafted exclusively from grapes harvested in a single year, each vintage of Dom Pérignon Brut strives to capture the unique character of the season, making it a true expression of time and terroir.
In the darkness of the cellars, inside the bottles, each Vintage goes through a slow transformation in contact with the yeast. It takes no fewer than eight years of elaboration to achieve a harmonious dialogue between the character of the year and the signature of Dom Pérignon. The champagne showcases a perfect equilibrium, and all the elements are present with great relevance, revealing the harmony. It is a promise, an invitation to enter the world of Dom Pérignon.
