From a very black, volcanic soil, a Soave breed, frankly mineral and "fiery". At sight it shows off a bright straw yellow dress with residual greenish reflections. The nose is typical and characteristic for its volcanic, fumé and sulphurous tempering, with counterpoints of aromatic herbs and citrus fruits. Beautifully mineral even on the sip, it is savoury and fresh but also elegant and creamy, with a dry and exceptionally persistent finish.
THE STORY OF A FAMILY THAT DEDICATED ITSELF ENTIRELY TO THE VINE AND WINE, SET IN A VERY SMALL VILLAGE SET ON THE HILLS OF THE CLASSIC SOAVE.
The castle is that of Soave: legacy of the Middle Ages, when the village was still called by the ancient name of Suavia; the daughters of Giovanni Tessari and Rosetta Buratto instead, are the main female protagonists of this story since the beginning of the twenty-first century. Our family has been living and cultivating the land since 1800 in Fittà: a small peasant village set as if it were a precious stone on the hills of Soave Classico.
The story of Suavia however, begins later, in 1982, when father Giovanni and mother Rosetta, aware of the great potential of their territory, decide to start their own and have their say, press their grapes, make their own wine.
Today we three sisters, Meri, Valentina and Alessandra, carry on the family tradition and lead the company always working here in Fittà where it all began.
Pairing Suggestions: Truffle, Raw fish, Aged cheeses, Fish, Risotto.
Maturation: Born from hand-selected and softly pressed Garganega grapes, this suave refines in steel to maintain all the pure and mineral character of the Carbonare grape.
