The wine is complex, with notes of black cherry, raspberry, plums, blackberries, black currants, licorice, plum, tobacco etc. On the palate notes of fresh herbs, persistent, mineral, full-bodied, medium tannins and soft finish.

In the early 1900s, Ivan Miklus acquired the land to be devoted to the cultivation of grapevines. With the help of his son Franz he renewed one hectare of vineyard by digging the solid land with his own hands as deep as 80 cm. Soon Franz was called for a long time in military service and after a few years he was offered to work as a commander in aviation. Even against the will of his father, he refused and chose a much harder life but which gave him more satisfaction. Working the land at that time required much more effort and sweat than today. In 1992, a constant wine commerce began with the first labels named Draga. Later the grandson Milan, with a great help of his wife Anna, started to produce also wines labeled Miklus. In 2006 Start of production wines long maceration.

Pairing Suggestions: Ideal with red meats, grilled meat, rost chicken, pork, game with polenta, mushrooms, old chesses, gorgonzola, parmesan etc.

Maturation: The grapes were selected and harvested manually in early October, de-stemmed, the must was then left on the skins for 30 days in conical oak vats without temperature control. In these days alcoholic fermentation started with indigenous yeasts and three times a day the skins were immersed in the must, punching down manually. After that it were soft pressed and the alcoholic fermentation continued and aged without temperature control in French barriques for 24 months, always on the lees.
