Brilliant straw yellow in colour with pleasant golden reflections. The nose is very elegant, with sweet aromatics, jasmine, wisteria and pear, all blended with truly refined notes of fermentation, pastry and bread crust. On the palate is an excellent correspondence with
the nose, being sophisticated with notes of sweet fruit, very persistent and balanced, closing with a pleasant hint of acacia honey and pastry. 

Marls and sandstones of Eocene origin, called “ponca” in Italian, stratified under the seas over millennia and today give our wines a unique flavour and minerality typical of Collio.

Isidoro Polencic is a family business, now run by three siblings – Alex, Elisabetta and Michele – who carry on the work started by their parents Isidoro and Anna but before that, by their grandfather, also named Isidoro.    

Our family has long been here in Plessiva, in the heart of the Collio wine region. We have always traced the contours of the rows as we grow the vines with methodic and careful tenacity.

Pairing Suggestions: It is an excellent accompaniment to all first courses from the regional cuisine, seafood soups and fish starters.

Maturation: Maturation continues for a few months on the lees in steel fermentation vats until reaching the complexity, creaminess and suitability for ageing.
