2022 Ronco del Gelso Bianco "Latimis" 0.75lt
The 2022 Ronco del Gelso Bianco "Latimis" is a blended wine made from various grape varieties, with proportions that change each vintage. It undergoes fermentation in steel and is aged for 12 months in 2,500-litre oak barrels, developing a big, balanced, and concentrated profile. Our vineyards are located on a small plain formed by the Isonzo tributaries, extending from the Collio hills to the Adriatic Sea. The poor, stony, and dry soils are ideal for viticulture, limiting vine vigor and preventing excessive production. We respect the soil's unique characteristics, which support high-quality grape growing. Our vineyards are single-Guyot pruned and vertically trellised with high vine density to encourage root competition. Careful attention is given to selecting suitable clones and rootstocks during planting. We also plant green cover in alternating rows, with average yields around 1–1.5 kg per vine.
