The colour Green Yellow, green as the colour of the leaves of our woods and vineyards, yellow as the colour of the wheat fields taken from the warm sun of the Tuscan coast... Delicate floral and herb notes stand out on the nose. To taste remarkable freshness and long persistence.
The Le Falene project was born in 2016, with the acquisition for rent of the first vineyard parcel, but in reality it dates back to a few years earlier, when Vincenza Folgheretti, a young Sicilian consultant transplanted by choice in Tuscany, with experiences, among others, in Varramista, Tasca d'Almerita and Tenuta di Biserno, after graduating in Oenology at the University of Pisa, meets Massimo Casagrande, Agrotechnical with various experiences in the sector, from promotion to marketing, through the management of restaurants and wine bars, up to the first-hand management of important wineries such as Castellare di Castellina and Rocca di Frassinello's.
Immediately the idea of building something together was born, which goes beyond the daily management and ideation of wines for other producers, starting from small parcels of vineyards in a state of seed abandonment or destined to become so, to be searched along the Tuscan coast, an area in which they reside and which they consider ideal to create what they have in mind.
Pairing Suggestions: Ideal accompaniment with dishes based on vegetables, fish, shellfish, fresh cheeses and white meats.
Maturation: The must ferments for 90% in low temperature (16° C) steel vats, while 10% ferments and matures in 225 lt barrels. After 6 months the assembly takes place and, therefore, the bottling. Afterwards, the wine ages for an additional 6 months in the bottle before being marketed.
