2019 Perusini Cabernet Franc Friuli Colli Orientali 0,75lt
The 2019 Perusini Cabernet Franc Friuli Colli Orientali features a deep purple color with a violet rim. It has a complex nose with herbaceous eucalyptus aromas, spicy black pepper, and hints of animal character. On the palate, it is full-bodied with elegant black fruit flavors, well-structured acidity, and tannins that create a rounded, peppery taste. The Perusini winery is recognized among Italy's historic winemakers and has a legacy of preserving native vines. This wine, first produced in 1962, combines Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French oak barrels, maintaining the same blend and label chosen by Giampaolo Perusini, who believed in the potential of Friuli's red wines.
