The 2018 Fantinel Sant'Helena Refosco "Mario" is a garnet red wine known for its intense flavor, tannic structure, and full body. This wine showcases the native Refosco grape from Friuli, achieving its best expression through slow aging. It honors Mario Fantinel, the father of the company's founders. The terroir, known as "Ponca," is ideal for grape growing, benefiting from the protection of the Julian Alps and proximity to the Adriatic Sea. This environment allows for innovative production techniques, resulting in wines with a captivating aroma, robust body, and great aging potential.
