2017 Marchesi di Barolo Barbaresco Serragrilli 0,75lt.
The colour is a brilliant and vivid garnet red. The aroma opens with fruity notes reminiscent of blackberry and raspberry, with spicy scents of cinnamon and cloves in the background. It has an impressive powerful taste, tempered by an elegant character that reveals sweet and well-combined tannins.
92 POINTS LUCA MARONI
93 POINTS JAMES SUCKLING
89 POINTS FALSTAFF
90 POINTS DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARDS
Serragrilli is a gentle hill in the municipality of Neive, mapped on sheet no. 7, parcels 18-136-138-324. It is exposed to the south-west, where the nebbiolo grapes receive the sun rays until late in the evening. The ground is uniform in structure and composition. The soil is firm, with a homogeneous ratio between macro- and microelements: clay and limestone are covered by an adequate mantle of quartz sands and very fine silt. The vineyard grows on the upper part of the hill, up to the crest.
