Rich, intense ruby red. Smells hearty on the nose of ripe cherries, slightly balsamic, black pepper and ripe fruit. Bright palate, opening up to beautiful ripe crisp fruit, gripping, polished tannins and a long finish. Best to decant before serving.

Barbaresco Rio Sordo is obtained with a careful selection of the company's grapes, thanks to which a great red wine with a unique personality is obtained. This wine was born from the desire to present a wine that enhances the aristocratic elegance of this vine, through a longer aging that allows it to reach a perfect balance. The grapes of the Cru Rio Sordo have always been sought after because they bring an unmistakable balsamic character to the wines, with great personality.
There are always family stories behind the most renowned wineries: that passion for wine that is passed down from generation to generation and that becomes love for each of the precious moments that go from the cultivation of the vine to the tasting in the glass. Even the history of the Cascina Bruciata farm is intertwined with that of some families, up to ours, already owner of Marchesi di Barolo, which acquired it in 2016.
Pairing Suggestions: It pairs perfectly with traditional Langhe egg pasta, Tajarin and ravioli del plin; with roasts, boiled, braised and game. It is an ideal companion for goat cheeses and mature hard cheeses.
Maturation: Spontaneous fermentation at 28 ° C with maceration for about 15-20 days. Aged for 24 months in small French oak barrels followed by 12 months in bottle.
