Deep cherry red in colour with a purple rim. Powerful and sumptuous, juicy and round. Plenty of sweet red fruit on the nose, paired with woody, spicy notes. Intense on the palate, with hints of black cherry, a touch of oak and a little earthiness. This opulent Alion is full bodied, with great structure and finely integrated tannins. A long and elegant finish.

The 2019 vintage boasts an enticing nose, releasing aromas of ripe, tarry plums and black cherries, beautifully intertwined with notes of violets, mineral-rich rocks, coffee, and graphite. Refined nuances of balsamic fruit and cocoa powder add further depth to its aromatic profile.

Maturation: The Vega Sicilia Alion is produced using Tinto Fino and aged for 14-20 months in new French oak Bordeaux barrels. After the barrel ageing the wine settles for 15 months in bottle before release.
