2020 Isidoro Polencic Oblin Ros 1,5 lt Magnum
Intense ruby red colour with significant violet hues. Elegant and complex with sweet fruity notes such as black cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry and dried violet that intensely blend with hints of balsamic, blackpepper and cocoa beans. A persistent roasted and
liquorice aftertaste comes as a result of the maturation. Structured and enveloping on the palate, withwell-blended tannins and an elegance that bears hints of cocoa, jam and spices. Very persistent.
Marls and sandstones of Eocene origin, called “ponca” in Italian, stratified under the seas over millennia and today give our wines a unique flavour and minerality typical of Collio.
Isidoro Polencic is a family business, now run by three siblings – Alex, Elisabetta and Michele – who carry on the work started by their parents Isidoro and Anna but before that, by their grandfather, also named Isidoro.
Our family has long been here in Plessiva, in the heart of the Collio wine region. We have always traced the contours of the rows as we grow the vines with methodic and careful tenacity.
